Problem while playing Lunar: Eternal Blue on Kega Fusion 3.6

Hey guys, I just started using the Fusion again and I ran into a problem. I played through the first Lunar game with no technical problems at all and now I'm trying to playthe sequel, Lunar: Eternal Blue. I got about 3 hours into the game with no issues whatsoever and now, at a particular load between areas, the game freezes. The screen just stays black and the sound stutters. I have no idea why this would be and I find it strange I could get that far into the game without having this problem earlier. I've tried loading state and loading my save game but the same thing keeps happening. Anyone know why this might be?
