Did you happen to update any drivers lately? If it used to work fine then that could be the case.
Hey guys,
I tried to play zelda after a while and i noticed that i was no longer able to play any rom.
Normally i got the message: Direct 3D failed to initialize your HAL device make sure you have a properly configured 3D graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0
This message wasnt new to me,, all i had to do was change to the rice dÆdalus plugin at the startup of pj64, then change it back to the jabo plugin, and voila.
Well, thats out of the question now cause i get the error that the plugin is damaged etc. (rices plugin or any other i have don't work, it loads the rom to 100% and then just closes pj64 without giving any errors)
Reinstalling pj64 doesnt work.
Does any of you know how to fix this, or do you have any suggestions for a better plugin for an ATI Radeon 9600 256MB? (i have DirectX9.0c)
be glad if anyone could help me

...
no, nothing, just a new hard drive...and directX 9.0c ofcourse.
PS: The strangest thing is that it says that the plugin (jabo's one) is damaged...
very odd. He didnt say that the first time i opened pj64 lately. But now it occures every time, even after reinstalling.

Could be the DirectX as the cause of the damage.
Try to update the N64 plugins as new as possible. Or try to use other plugins.
as for using other plugins, like i said i allready tried the ones i could find, and im not planning to dload 100+ plugins to test them all.
And for the n64 plugins, i got the latest vers.
If someone can recommend me a decent plugin or an emulator that might work dont be affraid to tell me :P

DirectX 9.0c might be the probable cause. It's still buggy. And also what operating system are you using?
click on my name and ull find out.

Its says the specs of your computer but not what kind of OS you have. If you have Windows Me or XP, you can use System Restore to uninstall DirectX 9.0c and revert back to DirectX9.0b.
have you tried another emulator to see if it works?
Close this topic.
I can use nemu with a modified plugin now so i dont need pj64 anymore.
thnx for all your help guys.
