Something like FRAPS should work ok. Some emulators have built in recording features but a lot of them record in various weird formats due to licensing issues so you're better off using a third party solution.
This is kind of an odd topic, but, uh... I've been wanting to make a music video for a certain song for a while now, and I want it to be all retro videogame graphics/visuals.
Now, I don't know much about emulation; which emulators are the best, how the games work, etc... But I'm willing to mess around with it and learn. The only thing is, I want to record footage of old games to edit and maniuplate, etc. but I have no idea what sort of programs exist, if any, that can do that sort of thing.
Basically, I don't know where to start.
Does anyone have any advice/information for me?
