Hello. I have two questions.

Hi. I was wondering if any of you guys could suggest a good n64-usb adapter (preferably a cheapish one). I looked a bit on Ebay and saw alot of PSX-N64 to usb adapters. Although I don't know if I'm gonna get into PS1 emulation....I would like the choice. If I have to though I'll go with n64 alone or maybe just skipping the adapter entirely and goin for a controller with the ubs plug on it. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

As for my second question...So far I've been able to get most n64 roms to work right but one rom I'd like to play has this error that bugs the crap out of me. The text in Quest 64 has a purple outline. I'm guessin that color is supposed to be invisible, but for some reason emulating the game doesn't make that happen. I was wondering if there are any solutions as reading purple text is kinda sucky. I was messin with the options a bit to fix it myself but I wasn't able to. I noticed that activating "Always use texture filter" in the default graphics plugin on Project64 makes it alot worse (It spreads to more things than just dialogue and slight problem with the status screens). I'll put up pics if I need to but I don't think I will.

I make do with a PS2 controller. When playing N64 games I set the C-buttons to the right controlstick. Not optimal but works ok for me, and of course, it works 100% when playing PSX games.

As for question 2, I've always hade that outline. Although it isn't listed as a known bug in the FAQ so you might get rid of it if you play around with another graphic plugin.
The only info I've found is a bit contradicting. It says the purple around the text is in the japanese version (Eltale Monsters) when using Jabo's plugin. On Quest 64 it reports a couple of other errors but not the one with the purple outline. You can read more here.
