Thread: Metroid prime on the mac...

Question Metroid prime on the mac...

For years, I have been dying to play Metroid Prime. I played it at a store for about 5 minutes, then left, and since then, I have been left hanging on what happens next in the game. I've even had a few dreams about it picking up from where I left off. I really do not want to go out and buy a game cube... is there any way/upcoming way that I could play Metroid Prime on my mac? Are any emulator developers working on anything sort of like what I am talking about?

    Thanks.

At first, my windows xp laptop was too slow to use for anything really, but it seems like I've fixed the problem. I downloaded Dolphin for it, and the application will open, but I just have no idea how to play games on it. With my N64 emulator, I would just search for the ROM I want and download it, but it doesn't seem to be the same for Dolphin.

First, just to make things clear, you really have to own the game in order to get a back-up for it. How you go about acquiring said back-up is up to you, you can't get it through here though.
In some places it's illegal to make a back-up, in others it's illegal to provide it to others and in some corners of the world there are even companies providing back-up solutions. Where I live I can even give a back-up copy to my friends and family. So you need to check up on what's the rules where you live.

Second, Dolphin is a GC emulator. And the games for GC is on mini-DVD:s. That means the back-ups will be in some kind of cd/dvd-format. Ex. ISO, MDF, NRG, Bin/Cue etc.
