GBA to TV Adapter Connection?

I'm looking at trying to get a GBA to TV Adapter connector:

My question is do the AV cables connect to the EXT port on top of the GBA or come directly out of the converter itself? On the pictures in the link the 1st (Cartoon) picture looks like it comes out of the EXT but the 2nd (the unit taken apart) looks like the cable comes out of the adapter. I ask because if it comes out of the EXT port I would not be able to play multiplayer, unless there is some type of EXT cable splitter which I have never seen. Thanks guys, Adam

You probably already know it, but you can also use a GameCube and a GameBoy Player.
