Getting two gamepads to work? Possible?

I have 1 logitech gamepad and two playstation gamepads connected with a usb adapter. but i cannot get two gamepads to work at the same time. using multitap i can get it to work in some games but not all. also when i go to config -> gamepad -> port 1 i can selectd pad1 but in port i can also only select pad1, not pad2. This is really annoying. Has anyone gotten two gamepads to REALLY work in epsxe?

in psX -emulator everything works. but i dont like psX because of limited graphics tuning options
