Default Has anyone else had this problem with Crono Trigger ?

Im new to the world of ROMS and SNES, and I recently downloaded the ROM for Crono Cross (an alltime fave) anyhow, when I was playing the game (farily in the beginning, for an RPG) when I went into the Cathedral (after the time warp- 600 AD or BC or whatever it is). The entire catheral was pitch black. If I walked the character all the way to the back of the cathedral all you can see is the light coming through the windows. I dont remember this being that way in the original. Becasue you cant see the nuns or anything. Eventually I found the nuns and won the fight (still blind) but I cant find the organ to open the secret passage way, so now im stuck.
I thought in a moment of desperation that maybe it was the particular file that I downloaded, so I downloaded a new file of it, repeated the process, and am still having the same issue.... I really like the game and just wanna play it any help?

When I bring it up on the screne it says "pocket SNES Version 1.53 (build 2007-10-25) Based on Snes9x". Like I said, this is the first time i have ever used ROMS and emulators, so I dont know if there is a newer/better version or what. Oh yeah, it all has been downloaded onto a Blackjack II (in case it makes any difference). I followed the directions given online to get it onto my phone and used the links they provided (www.myblackjack2.com).

All of the other games I have loaded have worked well, FFIV, FFV, Donkey Kong 3, im still looking for others.

    thanx again.
