I know this will probably sound stupid to most people but I need some help getting into emulators. First of all, I want to know if a PS2 emulator would work on my PC if it were running the first 3 Metal Gear Solids. I have a 3.0GHz Pentium 4 with 1GB or RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 graphics card. Also, could anyone tell me how I would be able to get a PS2 controller to work with my PC? Thanks for any help.

No, it will not run on your computer. You need Core 2 Duo and above to run this powerful emulator.

Alright, then would it work on my laptop. My laptop has Duo 1.66GHz Genuine Intel CPU T2300 processors. 1.00GB or RAM. And an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. Also can you answer my question about how to use a controller.

PS2 controller to work with my PC?
    - This question confuses my to no end. Nothing against you guys, but i here it asked so much?? One of the most popular adapters out their is the n64 and psx to usb?? As far as ps2 is concerned what do you want? Both analogs work and all the buttons? Surly you know that adapter exists. It is hard to miss.. Also note there are a lot of variants.

http://www.mayflash.com/pc/pc013/pc013-1.htm Is one of the best i here.
    or here http://www.amazon.com/Playstation-PC.../dp/B000F6BGXY

radio shack sell this one http://www.stepmania.com/wiki/USB_Adapters

    The most common here http://www.jandaman.com/games.mvc?p=...egory_code=PSX
    most people dont like it.

The only thing not yet adapted is the pressure sensitivity buttons.

Yea I know that the adapter exists, Although I apparently find it harder to find then you do. But thats my question, Can you just get a PS2 controller and plug it into your computer and it will work? And will the laptop specs I put up earlier work for a PS2 emulator to play the first three Metal Gear Solids?

    - Yes, I can only speak for the last on I mentioned . But from what i know they are all HID. No drivers works on win/linux/mac..

    I can't speak for ps2 emulation.
