No, it will not run on your computer. You need Core 2 Duo and above to run this powerful emulator.
I know this will probably sound stupid to most people but I need some help getting into emulators. First of all, I want to know if a PS2 emulator would work on my PC if it were running the first 3 Metal Gear Solids. I have a 3.0GHz Pentium 4 with 1GB or RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 graphics card. Also, could anyone tell me how I would be able to get a PS2 controller to work with my PC? Thanks for any help.

Alright, then would it work on my laptop. My laptop has Duo 1.66GHz Genuine Intel CPU T2300 processors. 1.00GB or RAM. And an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. Also can you answer my question about how to use a controller.

As far as ps2 is concerned what do you want? Both analogs work and all the buttons? Surly you know that adapter exists. It is hard to miss.. Yea I know that the adapter exists, Although I apparently find it harder to find then you do. But thats my question, Can you just get a PS2 controller and plug it into your computer and it will work? And will the laptop specs I put up earlier work for a PS2 emulator to play the first three Metal Gear Solids?
