Thread: Confused about how this works.

Default Confused about how this works.

I'm trying to figure out how this playstation emulation works. The last time I used an emulator was about 8 years ago playing pokemon with no$gmn or something like that.

I understand that to emulate the playstation, you need to download the emulator and then put your own playstation's BIOS on the computer. I have 2 questions though.

1: How do you transfer the bios from the playstation to the computer?

2: Once you've done this, can you play games from a playstation cd on a computer or do you have to rip the ISO? Is ripping the ISO even legal? Can a PC cd/rw drive even read a PS disk?

Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me.

Thank you very much for the help. I got the emulator running. Is there any way to set it up to run with a joystick using the joystick movement to control the left analog stick and mouse movement to control the right analog stick?
