No$Gba save help please

Hiya so i got no$gba version 2.6 (other versions wont even load up games) and i play the games , they run great but when it comes to saving it says it saves and the saves are even in the save file but when i start the game again like pokemon it goes back the the proff screen at the start or other games such as metroid shows me not having a saved game at all

I tried a bunch of things people have said change the save type to eeprom64 flash 512 depending on what the game is and it still doesnt work the funny thing is that if i save shut down no$ then start it back up right away my game is there "in some games" but when i restart my comp or turn it off for 30 mins or so my games are gone

Now i read in your faq about firmware and bios files i have no idea if i have them so i'm guessin i dont could this saving games but saved games not showing up to loadbe a result of that if so where do i put the bios and firware once i have them and if not can you offer some suggestions please

I do understand theres other emulators i use Ideas for most my games but the ones i really wanna play jst cant be played on ideas coz of graphic glitches and such

I'm recently doing the wait 30 seconds before turning off after save and it "seems" to be working but its done this before then jst wiped my saves so any help is appreciated plz
