question about tweaking fceu ultra

my girlfriend has a pentium II with 128 mb ram. when i try to play in full screen it is so slow. could anyone give me some pointers on how to speed it up? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lower the resolution, lower the sound rate, lower the color depth, lower the graphic details...etc etc.
