project 64 controller problem

i cant get a controller to work w/ project 64. any advice

what controller plugin are you using?
N-Rage and Jabo's work fine.
on N-Rage, just press the corresponding key and then press the button on your controller you wish to use it with (confusing?)
on Jabo's make sure you have your Game Device Selected first, then, similar to N-Rage, click the button and press the button on your controller you wish to Use it with (confusing)

please make sure that your Computer is able to detect your controller

Control Panel >> Game Controllers
if it's listed, you might reconfigure it (check your manual)
test it on other emulators. (If your controller has it's own configuration software aside from the ones on control panel, use it)
