I dont know a lot about mac's, but I would think in the control panel area you could test your buttons and joysticks. If it works there then it could be an emulator issue. If it does not work there maybe your HID drivers are messed up.

No, it is not an emulator issue accord to this:
It must be your computer didn't recongize your emulator's joystick configure or drivers problems.. Try this link, ok ?Jerry Brace quotes:
Hey Guys - get an original NES, SNES, Genesis controller modified with USB connector here: http://retrousb.com/ - works natively in OS X without drivers. I’ve gotten 2 NES and 2 SNES controllers from them so far. We have a Mac mini connected to our living room TV with all of the consoles and RemoteBuddy installed to launch any game with the Apple remote![]()

Can you click the link above ? A blue highlight one ? Is it working ?

Really ? Your USB NES should work. If I am there... I will be able to help you but I don't know what's wrong with that. When you have a problem.. Did error coming up ? What message did it say ? Picture if possibly ? Thanks.

i reinstalled emulator enhancer also
still nothing
no window or anything
do i need to buy emulator enhancer?
i thought you were able to use it for a trial period.
do i need to change any settings?

i checked the system profiler and it acknowledging the retropad in the usb.
i am using a macbook with os x 10.4.11 and nestopia
if i can give you any more info let me know
thanks
So long as the pad and adapter actually work outside the emulator its probably a driver issue.
One solution is to use Joy2Key. This basically allows you to map the joypad inputs to keyboard commands, which you then input in the emulator control config instead of using the joypad.
When you use the joypad, instead of sending the information directly through its own driver, Joy2Key acts as a middle man, converts the signal to a keyboard command and sends that to the emulator instead.
So for example you map the 'Q' key on your keyboard to button 1 on the joypad using joy2key, then open the emulator control config and assign 'Q' as button 1. When you hit button 1 on the joypad, Joy2Key converts it to 'Q' and sends it to the emulator.
Joy2Key.
Hope that helps.
