TGB dual link function won't work

We're on two computers hooked up over lan, and we get net play set up, but when we go into pokemon to trade it gets stuck at 'please wait' and then says the link is closed because of inactivity.

Why is that?

Hey, I happen to have TGB dual on my computer, I do play Pokemon Red and Blue, but I dont have it set up over two computers. My brother and I have it set up on the same computer and play at the same time. While we do that we click netplay and everything works Just fine! I would really suggest doing that.
