ePSX Screen Goes Black

Hello,

I have tried multiple games--FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX--and the same error occurs! I play the game normally for a few minutes, generally 2-5, then the screen randomly goes black. The sound plays in the background and I can hear battles continue or the menu opening.

Does anyone have any idea why? I'm using Pete's OpenGL Plugin and messed with various settings on there to no avail.

Specs:
ATI Radeon Mobile X1400
Intel Core 2 Due 1.7ghz
1.5g RAM
