Converting NRG to ISO?

Why do you want to convert a .NRG to .ISO? They are basically the same thing.
I know that Nero Burning Rom and UltraISO can open .NRG files, you could then save the image again as a .ISO. I imagine most other imaging programs support .NRG files aswell as all the other major image formats.
