Chrono Cross Battle issues

Hi fellas, I am not having any sort of black screens like the other gamers who have posted before, but my problem involves the battle scenes.

It runs slower and the floors of the battle scenes seem choppy.

My PC

Intel(R)
Xeon(TM) CPU 2.40GHz 2.40GHz
1.00 GB of Ram

E-GeForce MX4000 (128 MB PCI)

Directx8?


What plugins should I use to make the floors smooth and running nicely during battles?

Any luck using the 'nice' option under Pete's GPU or P.E.Op.S GPU plugin?
