    Default FFVII Help: Blank Screen

Im having trouble with epsxe in regards to running the game FFVII. The game loads up with the squaresoft logo (it kinda flickers in and out, tho) and then after a brief blank screen, it goes to the NEW GAME or continue options.

What happens is, when I choose NEW GAME, the game never loads, the screen just goes blank...

Here are my computer specs (Im running it on a laptop)

    2 gig ram
    1.66 2 duo core proccesser
    256 video ram (shared)

Just to note, I have only tried one other game (FF Tactis) and it runs perfectly fine.

As well, im running the newest version of pete's driver. I think its PetesGPU2 or something) I am using the newest version of epsxe and I am using ISO files for my game.

If anyone would kindly help me with my problem, that would be greatly appreciated.

There is something else I think you guys need to know...

When I try to unzip the rar file using 7-zip, it unzips fine, but when it finishes, it says the first cd file is broken.

I am also confused because doesnt FFVII have a intro? When the file loads on epsxe, it just shows the squaresoft logo and then goes to the CONTINUE and NEW GAME options, and when I choose new game, nothing happens but a black screen.

If the file really is broken, could you name a reputable site which offers iso files of FFVII?

BTW, I downloaded the files off -- BEEP! --, and the game came in 6 different parts, 2 parts of each cd. As well, when I unzip the files, it groups them atomatically into 3 files, CD1, 2 and 3, but CD 2 and 3 have no data on them whatsoever!

Any help soon would be great...
