Default Snes controller to PC problem

Hi I am new to this forum and am looking for help in regards to the wiring of my SNES controller to my PC. I complete the soldering and pinning of my DB-25 connector and connected it however the buttons seem to be mapped incorrectly. And the (B) button isnt not being recognized at all. My first instinct is that this may be a power issue however I used 5 diodes and connceted them to their corresponding points so I should in theory have enough juice but I dont know. Does anyone have any ideas on this issue?
    Thanx in advance,

    Chris

    Hi Chris

I doubt that it is a power issue because the SNES controller needs only a tiny amount of power to run and the parallel port would handle it. I would be checking the following to fix your problem:

    1. Check the drivers. Make sure other people who have used them have had success.

    2. Check the orientation of the diodes in your schematic and make sure your adapter matches.

    3. Check the adapter to make sure it is wired according to the schematic.

    4. Check your parallel port to make sure it is working properly.

If you have no luck finding the problem, post links to the schematics and drivers you used and we can go from there.
