Final Fantasy VIII problem

For those who played the game before

Oook so I noticed this just now when I was playing, and so I already taught "Boost" to a GF........and it (the "press the X button" sign) doesn't appear when I summon that GF

I thought it might be a problem with the screen size or something, anyone else had this problem before

it has nothing to do with the game or any problems. You have to press "SELECT" wile the GF does his thang and then press Square repeatedly

From what I recall, it displays what you have to do. I hated FF8's summons for this particular reason.

Ugh, I forgot about the select button (it's been a long time since I played the game)

I'm pretty sure you could turn the instructions off for most if not all of the summons I'd need to double check though.
