This may be already be duscussed in the old forum but anyway which of them you consider to be the best?
I personally have PS2 and GC and prefer PS2 because it has lots of RPG's.
However generally I prefer GBA and older systems.

This has has already been discussed everywhere way too many times.
PS2 - Best
GC - Meh, has some good games
XBox - Terrible, worst ever
i like the gamecube; granted it doesn't have alot of games yet but it is getting alot more and some of the ones it has are great: ex: P.N.03, Metriod Prime, Legend of Zelda, and so on...
at the moment, the ps2 is the best system; great games, great gameply, great everythin, except it is huge
The X-Box must got to hell, go to hell and die...
the graphics were supposed to be unparalleled: Lie, the graphics suck
the games were supposed to be better than other: lie, most of the games suck big monkey ass
yes, you don't need a memory card, but what good is that without any good games to keep on it...
my opinion...
yes this has been argued one too many times
i remember having an argument with scotchguy about which was best 2 EZs ago.
i STILL think:
Xbox: best graphics, games, least loading time
PS2: middle, its ok
GC: most dislike. games are too "babyish". dont like the controller set up.
my opinion :P
I remember that argument as well, you finally gave in after 3-4 days or so.
I was so close to starting that again, but I decided to refrain. I'm too tired to try and argue again, it takes a lot of effort.
The xbox sucks ass. period. granted this is just my opinion, but I think the old folks at microsfot didn't deliver what they promised.
no i think i gave in after more like 2 days, i just got sick of it. i dont enjoy arguing either
but my opinion is probably not too great since ive played alot of xbox, almost no GC and a tiny bit of PS2
youre probably saying this because thats what a few people have told you. maybe you should grab an xbox and actually try it before saying shit like thatQuote:

Cube - Melee End of Discussion.
meh Halo is alright, but I don't appareciate ti unless its 8v8.
PS2 has some stuff, just not Melee calibur.
GameCube: Best console, hardly any load time, great graphics (just look at RE, Metriod Prime, PN03 etc) and really not all games are "babyish". I agree with the controller though, just ain't on par with the Nintendo 64 controller
PlayStation 2: Another good console and provides my games TV with DVD playback. The damn loading times and quite dated graphics is whats keeping this console from the top of my list. Also can play all my original PS1 games with enchanced graphics.
X-Box: Not my favorite console at all but has a few games that I like and weren't released for the Aus Dreamcast. Bad points are: the fans are damn loud, takes up the most space in my cabinet, controller hurts my palm and fingers.
onewecallgod...
i have played one alot...
i dont listen to what anyone tells me about a system, i pick it up and play it to see for myself
I don't have a gamecube, XBox or PS2, but if i did splash out on
one I'd get a PS2. It has a lot of good games, the graphics are decent
and will only improve with time.
I would buy an XBOX for Jet Grind Future, and Shenmue 2 alone. the games on ps2 are alright, but nothing like JTF,or Shenmue.
The 3d zeldas are way to boring, which is why I still havent completed Wind Waker. The Gamecube does have Skys Of Acradia though, which is one of the most underrated games of all time.
I really cant decide, all the consoles are pretty shitty.
for some reason i do doubt that. if you had played plenty of xbox and really didnt like it then you wouldve found a better reason than, "yes, you don't need a memory card, but what good is that without any good games to keep on it..."Quote:

Get a Dreamcast, I picked up one and Shenmue II for less than itQuote:

would cost for Shenmue II alone on the XBox, plus you can download
and copy games for it piss easy.
I have a Dreamcast, and I remember they had the Shenmue 2 imports at EB, they were 100 bucks. If I can find a cheap import, I would definetley get it.
Damn Sega, only releasing it to the UK
Can't you download it?
Probably not, I have 56k :(
quite yer bitchin i got 32k
Ya, but you dont want Shenmue 2.
PS2.
Topic over.
Shut the fuck up.
Translation : why are you dumb shits having ANOTHER console war when it's pointless and dumb, which console you like is an opinion, it is your OPINION [console] is better, it is not a fact.
Thanks, and shut the fuck up.
Ok, Here are my two cents
There has been alot of debate about this, and the only problem I find it that people dont realize tha the 3 consoles are just DIFFERENT and different things suit different needs you know ;-) so, its up to each and every person to chosse-wise the perfect console to fints his own personals needs, or just do what I did.... get all 3 of em and try them :D and I can say im proud of buying all 3. but you know something eh? the GBA still OWNS them all
the Dreamcast rules all. but out of those 3 me says Gamecubes the best, PS2 2nd, and Xbox not worth mentioning
ps2!!
crazy!!!!!!!!
my first official post on the new emu-zone!!
wut wut!~........
I bet I end up banning you again.
haha........
i wouldn't be surpised if that happened..........
It won't if you post on topic, or add a bit of body to your posts.
I think the XBOX looks the best, PS2 has the best game library, and GameCube has as many great games as the PS2*, but not as many games total.
*PS2 games I consider great: MGS2, GTA3, GTA:VC, GT3.
GameCube games I consider great: Zelda, Metriod, MGS, Melee
You're all dumb, Waz, close this shit, it's no use opening a thread debating about opinions, because these dumbshits still don't get that debating over subjective opinions is pointless.
Will the I won't deny the pointlessness of this thread, it has so far
progressed in a farely normal manner with reasonbly intelligent
discussions.
Unless this thread gets out of hand, I don't really see a major reason
for closing it.
As for which system is the "best"... it kind of depends on what games
you like. I like RPGs, so the best system for me is the PS2 and worst
would be the XBox (although the Gamecube doesn't fare much better).
And FYI I currently own a PS2, GameCube and Dreamcast, although I
sadly have access to neither of them (I will be brining back my PS2 to
Ireland when I visit the Netherlands in November)...
If I had to make some general lists:
In terms of graphics (best to worst): XBox, GameCube, PS2
In terms of available games: PS2, XBox, GameCube
My opinion....
Gamecube:
I like the games. I like the controller. And, it's compact size for your conveniance. I've grown up on Nintendo all my life, so I guess I'll stick with them to the end.
Xbox:
Ok, I like the Xbox for two reasons: Halo and Xbox Live!. Xbox Live! is the best of the 3 online set-ups. I just... like it, I guess. Halo, however, is the best FPS I've ever played. It had a very decent plot and the AI characters actually acted like they had brains bigger than their eyeballs.
Playstation 2:
I'm not a fan of this system. It just doesn't hold the games that interest me.
Take it or leave it, it is my opinion.
X-box is plainly the best of all.Best hardware and graphics ,very good games ,and is the cheapest of all .
Gamecube is a trully decent console with some unique games that are true masterpieces (which in fact aren't childish at all) ,but the fact that it can't play DVD movies is really annoing and disappointing.
Ps2 is just a waste of words .It has the worst hardware and yet is the most expensive of all (at least in my country) and yes it has the most titles of all but most of them just suck ,and the good ones are usually on x-box as well. The only reason this thing survives competition is sony's good marketing and the fame of that PSX had .
And that is not just my opinion it's a FACT <_< .
Current Prices at Wall-Mart where I live:Quote:
...and is the cheapest of all .
GameCube - $99.99 USD
Play Station 2 - $179.00 USD
X-Box - $179.99 USD
I still bought the PS2 though :)
In Greece it's the cheapest though. At least a month ago.
xbox is the greatest console out there, ps2 is the worst and the gamecube is in between, xbox has the graphics also has halo and the ps2 has nothing except a wider range of games and gamecube has resi full stop. wots wrong wiv all u ps2 bums go out and actually play an xbox, and get of the stupid ugly lookin ps2 house brick thing.
xbox - greatest console ever
gamecube - resident evil
playstation 2 - total shite, poo graphics aswell.
im relly kool. ps2 is the coolist becoz it is big and black with games, yeh x box has 1 gfame but ps2 has loads!1 the grafics are beter bcos it has turbo power X2 graphics but xbo dosnt. wot is gamcube? facT x-Box rulez evceryon!!1

Gamecube is way too...how do you day....Childish. Most of its game are like mario and Pikman........and like I could crush the controller with one hand.
Wow, that hasn't been used in a long time.
I would have to agree with Splize, the GC's games are way to childish. The X-Box has a few good game's, but im not gunna go out and buy a console for 3 or 4 games. Meanwhile, the PS2 has heaps of games i like and has a reasonable controller..
I have played all and would choose a PS2. But it is all up to personal choice...
If you like "kiddy games" and dont mind a small controller, then the GC is for you..
If you have a fair bit of money and want to spend it on a console with few games and a big controller then the X-box is yours..
But if you want to buy a console with a wide range, with atleast 60% of the games being good, including "kiddy" and adult games, plus many RPG's.. And you want a good size controller then go the PS2..
But as I said, it is all personal preferance.
