Hitmonlee, Is this your first broken bone?
[today's post]
Unlike my heart, my bones are unbreakable. I'm not sure if that's good or not
[/today's post]

You really are heartbroken.Girl problems ?

Killings of three brothers in Venezuela set off protests against violent crime
CARACAS, Venezuela -- Protests erupted across Venezuela's capital, with troops firing tear gas and hundreds of angry demonstrators blocking streets after the slaying of three young brothers by kidnappers set off an outcry against violent crime amid suspicions the culprits could include police.
Protests erupted in at least five spots across Caracas on Wednesday, and one Venezuelan journalist was shot while on his way to photograph a small demonstration at a university. Photograph Jorge Aguirre of the newspaper El Mundo died shortly afterward at a hospital, said Jose Gregorio Yepez, an editor at the paper.
Attorney General Isaias Rodriguez, meanwhile, said investigators have questioned two police officers in the killings of the three Faddoul brothers -- John, 17, Kevin, 13, and Jason, 12, with dual Canadian-Venezuelan citizenship -- whose bullet-ridden bodies were found resting in fetal positions Tuesday just outside of Caracas.
Authorities also found the body of their driver, Miguel Ribas, 30, who was kidnapped along with them more than a month ago when their car was stopped on their way to school at a roadside checkpoint by men wearing police uniforms.
Hundreds of protesters demanding action against crime gathered to block a highway Wednesday night near the affluent neighborhood of Altamira in eastern Caracas, a stronghold for opponents of President Hugo Chavez.
National Guard troops arrived shooting rubber bullets above protesters' heads and launching canisters of tear gas into the air, witnesses said. As the protesters were pushed back off highway, some began setting tires and trash bins afire on nearby roads.
In a country facing rampant crime, the killings of the Faddoul brothers drew widespread mourning and a sudden outburst of frustration.
"Today it was them but tomorrow it could be my sister and me," said Fady Rahal, a 16-year-old classmate of John, as she spoke through tears at a peaceful protest earlier in the day. "What kind of a country is this?"
Some 400 protesters froze traffic on a major highway by standing in the way, some lying on the asphalt and sitting in circles holding placards. (AP)

Now would be a good time to take a vacation...
Lucky you're not in Caracas...Maracay.
But Caracas is next to Maracay and the Sindoni case happened in front of my eyes.
The point is that there's a strange violence wave happening lately.
I feel sorry for you, Butters. The world is changing, and not for the good :(Quote:

But violence just begets violence. I'll never understand how people can riot about being angry about things like violence and police brutality.
That's why I respect Martin Luther King Jr's teachings. Peaceful protest. That man had it right.
Wise words. It indeed takes a lot more of a man to NOT use violence than to use it.Quote:

No, the world has pretty much always been like this...Quote:

I still think that the United States (through the CIA) has something to do with this, directly or indirectly.
What would the US gain from Venezuela ?
What are the interests here ?
I watch CNN every day.It seems that these days all they talk about is pedophiles and child pornography, one thing which I didn't know...was that many countries don't have laws against it.
Oil, just like they did in Irak. First, they were planning to separate one of our richest states in oil (Zulia) from Venezuela and then give it to United States... and they failed because the president knew about it in time. And now this.Quote:

It's the others that are making all the killing/hatred in that place.
Have you ever thought that these things are not true ? (US taking over countries oil)
I didn't know Venezuela was that rich in oil.
Tell that to my Kurdish relitives...Quote:

Butters...there are kidnappings everywhere. Why would those two count ?
I say it again, those kidnapping waves are not common here, something weird is happening here.
