this would be a good idea if some one would make a nes to zsnes rom converter
WTF
impossible!! why would you want a converter for a diffrent system. then you would get a diffrent game. dumb idea.
i fould one that will do nes. to gbs. see it is not so dumb
Some roms been hacked to do that time ago. Anyway, there more NES emulators than SNES and both systems are pretty good emulated, so why?
like hagbard said thier hacked versions and people convert them so they can put them on blank flash cards. and nes to gba (assuming you ment gba cuz thier is no gbs) is diffrent. i don't see any flash carts for the snes so that is why they convert them. not to play on emulators on your PC or laptop.Quote:

they don't need to cuz they are already near perfect. i would maybe convert nes to gba if i wanted to play them on a gba but i don't have one. but i do have a psp and their already emu's for nes on psp so no need to convert anything to anything else. besides the current emu for gba on psp sux.(right now)
RockNes it's back, so you might be lucky. Still there're Nestopia, Nesten, NNEsterJe, VirtuaNes which are outstanding too :)
If they could get the MESS emulator to run everything like it supposed to. then this question wouldn't be necessary. :p
I think Rocknes is a terrible nes emulator, the characters look out of proportion (super mario one eye is larger than the other, that sort of thing) the best emulator for nintendo is probably I think is JNES or FCE Ultra take your pick. I wish that ZSNES could play these games, because with it, I can use my joystick or gamepad (on my ps2 adapted gamepad) which is cool, and I dont think either support this. I could be wrong though hagbard, you seem to be the authority on all of this stuffQuote:

Because it was a MS-DOS emulator, and DOS doesn't have DX nor SDL, etc, so he ported it to Windows this way.
You should have no problem with Nestopia, the best NES emulator imho, and NNesterJe or VirtuaNes, especially the last one since it's still alive. If you try them you won't regret, trust me. Of course you can use your pad with them. ;)
About "my autority", well, I'd say it's only I'm getting old :p
I ment to say that with ZSNES you the directional buttons can be over loaded meaning you can use either the joystick or the gamepad directional buttons at the same time, which is cool. (using airflo controller, which is close to the ps2 controller)Quote:

If you haven't tried it, Heres a link :D

Every Direct Input compatible emulator should do thatQuote:

We are lucky that most emulators have the features that they do, yet they only really have them because people always beg for new stuff.
I think it would take some real balls, and be a real class act for someone to make an emulator with only hardware features of the original platform. No save states, no video modes or filters (just fullscreen) nothing but the original features.
But it doesn't cost anything to add some cool features. You can always avoid using that options if you don't like it
^agreed.
the extra features are just to get better performance or for fun. people use the emulator to play the game anyways so the emulator is living up to it's primary objective.
