Is there any tool out there to rip fmvs off PS2 games? Because I saw a whole bunch of fmvs for games like FFX and stuff and I was wondering how they did that. Thanks!

I think you might not be able to do it for FFX, but give a try to Cube Media Player
ok well I downloaded the Cube Media Player and I have no idea how to use it. Do we need plugins or something? Because evertime, I put a ps2 disc in the drive, it says that I need to insert a disc when I tell to it scan for a ps2 disc. Obviously it's not recognizing it.
I tried it for Kingdom Hearts and Gran Turismo 3. The tutorials on the web site doesnt really help either.
Any advice or help would be nice. Thanks!
You need an ASPI layer installed , like ForceASPI, and also select the drive you want to scan PS2 discs: Edit -> Preferences -> CD DVD device
Hmm, probably will try it out..... :rolleyes:Quote:

But never try to install ASPI layer on XP BTW. :p
I did it but there really wasnt a difference from before. I realized that my problem before was that I didn't specify the Cube Media Player to read my dvd drive since my computer doesn't recognize dvds in its cd drive.Quote:

I see you never tried ForceASPI :rolleyes:Quote:

ok well, whenever I scan the ps2 disc, the information log keeps on recording "Mpeg2 Flag error." What's with that?
This is for Kingdom Hearts in case you're wondering.
This means it can't be played without extract the video first, which can be done by the program itself. (Why don't take a look at the help file? ;) )
There are no help files when I downloaded it.
So now, I'm gonna have to ask how do I extract the files?
sorry and thanks!
Menu "About" -> "Help" : online help ;)
"Edit" -> "Operations" -> "Convert to"
hm... it seems that I can't click on "convert" because it's shaded out. Do I need to get the registered version for this option?
yes, you need the reg one
Ouch! That's very hurtful. :pQuote:
