Question about pcsx2

Hey I'm new here. I have a question about the ps2 emulator. I know its not complete.

Anyway I was wondering what can it do right now and how do I use it? I'm really confused about what to do after I downloaded the file on this site. Sorry not really a computer guy. Thanks!

Well, now that you've learned how to use the pscx2.07 can you explain me where's the file .img located. I click run CD and asks me to find a file .img. There are a lot of files like this in the CD and none of them's workin'. What's goin' on? :confused:

I'm not an expert but I think you need to transfer your ps2 bios over onto you computer first before you can play anything. You can't download it b/c it's illegal. For info refer to the guide here:

I have already transfered my PS2 bios, I have configured all tha plug ins and the only thing I need to know in order to play the game is what to open! I will now try to download the PEOPS CDVD plug-in which (as it says at the link) opens automatically the image. Thnks

i'm not sure then b/c i have not transfered my ps2's bios onto my computer yet. Most likely it's b/c the emulator has not been developed far enough yet. They said that 99% of the games will not work right now.

Really? If the emulator cannot play 99% of games why is it released? Well, fortunately i have found and downloaded the P.E.Op.S cdvd plug-in which opens the game automatically! Despite that, I haven't managed to play my FIFA2004 yet!! :mad:

hellooooz for everone who tried to make it happen ( i mean playing ps2 games on pc ofcourse ) anyway, i've done all instructions u've said concerning the bios and the plugins, and the only result i've got is a window showing the framerate and the then the program exit with a silly "send/don't send" error message, by the way i have no DVD reader i just downloaded GTA san andreas image and i'm trying to play it , it's only the game i've got for ps2 so i can't test any other game, i hope u can help me out in this.

theres a big sticky in the forums that says that there is NO ps2 emulator that works 100% right now. In other words, GTA San Andreas DOES NOT WORK on the pcsx2.

And you won't get greater fps. It's below 5 or 10 fps.

I still can't get my pcsx 2 to work.I configure everything already including the bios file and the all sorts of plugins but each time I run a iso from a DVD,it will say"this is not a usable CD/DVD iso".Help!!!

as i said before, pcsx 2 will most likely not work for 99% of the games that you try. go to the link on the first page to see which games work.

well one of my friend's cousin(I think he is bluffing)said that metal gear solid 3 works for him but tekken 5 doesn't.

i reall doubt that MGS3 works for the pcsx2 b/c the emulator is not developed far enough. Only small simple games can fully work. You might get the opening movie or to the menu for more complex games but thats about it.
