:confused: I am looking for a ps2 emulator that works and that plays official games, with official i mean that if you put a ps2 game in your pc, that you buyd from the store that you can play the game.

Not necessary. You better have other PS emulator as backup if something fails on ePSXe itself. Just like Final Fantasy 9 and Valkyrie Profile which is better be on PSXeven while Shadow Madness is playable only on FPSE. :cool:Quote:

Hmm! I cannot get FPSE to work which kind of sucks considering I just bought Shadow Madness off Ebay. Are you sure no other emulator will run it? There was virtually no info on configuring it and it wont run with ePSXe or PSXeven :(

everytime i boot PSXeven it says dat its on illegal operation *sigh..

A friend from Emuxhaven forum confirms Shadow Madness can be played using ePSXe but I still don't know why I can't do the same. :confused:Quote:

ePSXe can run while PSXeven can't be run? Could be possibly both emulators using a similar system in which one of the emulator will crashed? Not sure as I put ePSXe on WinXP while PSXeven on Win98. :p
So far its the only game I havent been able to get running on ePSXe or PSXeven so it must use some odd code that nothing else used :P
Yeah FSPE was a pain to set up. I gave up on it. If you find out how your friend got it working in ePSXe Id be grateful if you'd let me know. As it is Ive just moved onto Star Ocean instead ;)
There's configuration of ePSXe taken from that forum.
While you doing so, I just finished testing with Shadow Madness. With all PS emulators available (except CVGS and Emurayden), I was able to found more about the compability of the emulator to that game.Quote:

Shadow Madness CD heavily scratched so I had to run it through a CD, not ISO.

Overall Winner : FPSE (Well IMO as it rans smoothly, no missing sprites on the game even though there is some minor problem on FMVs only.) :cool:

Also, I almost thinking the same thing as you did when I found out Shadow Madness it not working with CVGS at first until now. ;)
