Hello all. i downloadet Gamecube emulator name dolphin

1.5 DDr2 Ram
3.5 GHZ
Geforce 6600
if i use the emulator its load the speed of the game slow,,,may i have to setting somethink in the emulator?
Re: Problem with Gamecube Emu
You need at least 2 GB, a Core 2 Duo and a emulator written for x64 architecture to run at a barely decent speed. As for compatibility, you can't do anything but wait for a better version.
Re: Problem with Gamecube Emu
but my brother have core 2 and 2 gb ddr2 ram,,, its for him slow too,,,, we really dunno what to do =(
Re: Problem with Gamecube Emu
Gamecube emulators aren't really good right know any way. SO either you get a more ram :D or wait untill there are working emulators for the GC.

If you dont have X64 and core 2 duo then you have a very slow speed. Get a powerful computer like this and you will have good speed.
Re: Problem with Gamecube Emu
i wonder omg
1.5 DDr2 Ram
3.5 GHZ
isnt that even good for a emulator oO like Gmecube?
on the setting there is :Graphic Card:Ati Radeon XPress 200 Series,(this Graphic card should work great) that is on the emulator, so my graphic is very good and 1.5 ddr2 ram is very good too how i know and 3.5 ghz is good too^^,,, so may i can do anything or isnt there a way?
Re: Problem with Gamecube Emu
Don't compare emulation to the actual system. Take Super Nintendo as an example. Why does it require at least a 233 MHz processor if the SNES operates at just 3 MHz? Same thing happes with GameCube emulators. GameCube operates at 485 MHz, that means 3.5 GHz is simply not enough.
Re: Problem with Gamecube Emu
Mc_kA, there is not a way to emulate the gamecube on a computer right now. the emulator you speak of only ever reach beta stages. Your best shot at even coming close is to have the windows64 installed with a dual or quad cord cpu with as much ram as you can possibly get. And at that its not going to run very fast, nor is the compatibility going to change.
The emulator is full of bugs and not even 10% complete. Nor was it intended to be. Emulation is a hobby, the authors just do this for fun, not a job. So you can expect anything other then what you get.
If you want to see a gamecube game slowly creep its way on to you computer, then this is the emulator for you. If you want to play at full speeds go to best buy and get the actual system because it is not going to happen on a computer this day in age.
Remember emulation is a 4 to 1 .. You need to..
1) run the OS (windows)
2) decompile the rom
3) emulate the game
4) transcribe the calls to DirectX on the fly.
This takes processing power... and your wimpy 8 gigAbillion supper Cray systems is not going to hack it LOL.. ?In others words like all here have said just going to have to wait...
