Instructions for running an emulator?

Can anyone help me out here? I'm trying to run the Saturn emulator and have no idea how to do it. Are there any links or directions anywhere?

First you should start by saying WHICH Saturn emulator you are trying to run, because there are several available. Otherwise no one will be able to help you.

You probably picked a bad system to try out if you have little experience with emulation though, as Saturn emulation progresses at about the pace of a snail

I've downloaded two of the emulators; the satourne_beta_3 update and the SSF_008_alpha_R9.

Forget about satourne! SSF is your best bet and you need bios and it is illegal to tell you where. :P
