Buttons?

I just got VBA, however, the only buttons that I could figure out were: Z (A on GBA) and X (B on GBA). What are the R, L, Select, and Start buttons?

If you go to Options --> Joypad --> Configure --> 1... you can see what buttons are currently assigned to. You can also customize your keys.
