So...ummm... what do you guys think about "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood"? Because I'm very torn about it right now. It's alt-country...yet it's good...
I feel as if I may have an existentialist crisis. Especially since all of these bands are just branching into new ones. It's like a whole family of inbred music. And it seems like The New Pornographers are getting the most action.
On a completely different note, Belle and Sebsatian's "The Life Pursuit"'s quality of music was depressing.

For one, Belle and Sebastian in general is depressing.
For two, I stopped getting into new music a long time ago. Yet, there are some bands that I do like. Fall Out Boy, Arctic Monkeys, Wicked Wisdom, The Hold Steady, etc.
I don't know, sometimes I feel like the only new music that I get to see is on SNL. Isn't that sad?

Wandering Alone (Belle & Sebastian) is probably the happiest song, ever.
I like New Pornographers first album, usually, more than the new album. But I havent heard either in a while.
Joanna Newsom is a good songwriter, with a strange and beautiful voice.
That is all.

Then stop listening to mainstream music.

I'm just saying there's more out there than whats on fucking TV... I'm not claiming to be special because I listen to Sonic Youth. & I was listening to them way before I had even heard of Nirvana.

I don't listen to mainstream usually. Usually I like the alt rock or screamo that no one else is into.
Like Harvey Danger, AlexisOnFire, From Autumn to Ashes, The Hold Steady, Thursday, Element 101, Endgame, etc...
