For me I can only play it when the screen size is this size. Any bigger the game will run very slow.

So what about you guys? Have any luck in getting it to play in a bigger screen?

I know I've had problems in the past with auto-frame skip killing performance, maybe try fugding around with those options.. I think I had to set it to 0 personally

I play it fullscreen.Frameskip 0.
Work it out with video options, use the default fullscreen resolution and Normal filter.

OpenGL or Direct3D video modes should work faster specially at higher resolutions, mostly because fast hardware filtering effects. Auto frame skip doesn't help too much as Neco said, better set FS to 0. Also you can try older official VBA (http://vba.ngemu.com/) versions since last betas are a bit buggy IMHO. Derivated builds like VBAS (http://www.spacyhacks.de.vu/) or specially VBA smooth (http://vbasmooth.emulation64.com/), discontinued but works very nice.

When using OpenGL or Direct3D make sure to turn VSync on, otherwise it will look choppy and ugly.

AFAIK Triple Buffering should work too

If messing with the video options doesn't work try the VisualBoyAdvance Collector's Edition (http://www.zophar.net/gba.html). It worked better for me when I had this problem on my old computer (I don't remember why though)

Thanks guys for all the help.
Went ahead and downloaded the old version and it turns out that it works fine now. The screen is 5 times bigger.

Too cool!!!
